Our First Home!

Well many of you know that we got back a couple of weeks ago from Boise, ID where we went house hunting. We found a home that will be perfect for us and so I just wanted to share my excitment with all of you. I wasn't sure that this was THE house so I didn't get pics of every room, but you all get the point I am sure. This is a 6 bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom, + a bonus (play room) and a 3 car garage. It is so pretty inside and way more square feet than I ever could have imagined 3700!!! I know that I will have a few empty rooms for a few years, but hey I am okay with having too much space as opposed to having too little. The Best thing about the whole deal is that I will no longer have Marie living above me stopping around and waking Shelby up from her naps. I couldn't be happier about that one!! Anyway I am so excited that I had to post about it. Boise, here we come!!!!

Burton's B-Day

Peek-a-boo!
Going down the slide
playing in the jump house with Katelyn

One of Shelby's good friends had his 3rd b-day this week. It was so much fun because it was at "pump it up" which is a huge place with tons of Jump houses, mazes, slides and toys. Shelby couldn't get enough of it she was having so much fun, by the end of the night I was beat from playing like a kid all night. Anyway here are some pics of our fun night.

Sledding!

Are we ready yet?
Just Chillin
READY to hit the streets.

I was looking on my camera today and I found these pics. of Shelby over the Christmas holiday in Idaho. I thought they were so cute I decided to post them late. Dad pulled Shelby all over the streets on Christmas night and she loved it! It was so fun to see her glee with excitement.

BIG NEWS!

The Scott household has been very exciting the last couple of weeks, we have had some huge decisions and blessings in our life and we just wanted to share it with all our family and friends! We accepted the job in Boise, ID yesterday so we are so stoked to actually be moving where we want to live. The opportunity is so perfect for us and Jon will be able to be part owner if we love it after a year. It is so exciting that Jon is going to be a dentist in just a few short months and we couldn't be happier with his job. We have been looking at houses up there and compared to Vegas we will be able to afford a mansion which is very good news so we can get out of our cute little condo.

The other great news that we have is that we are expecting our 2nd child in Sept. We are so blessed to have been able to get pregnant this time in just 10 short months!!!! Maybe we are finally getting the hang of it or something because Shelby took 2 1/2 years to get here. I am super sick with this one, which is not that fun especially when anything and everything that I eat ends up coming up. But I am not complaining because the outcome is so worth the agony of a few months (I'll be able to hold it over them when they are acting up later :))

We are so blessed in our lives and I am always amazed at all the things the Lord does for our little family. It seems as if everything is just falling into place even better than I had ever dreamed of. I have the most amazing husband who loves me so much. He has been so great with helping me out the last month of so. He even gets up with Shelby and gets her dressed, fed, and hair done before they come and wake me up. I cherish every minute that I get to be his wife. I also have the cutest little girl! She is such a happy baby and a joy to have around. I couldn't imagine life without her, she definately has her parents wrapped around her finger. We are so blessed and thankful!

We are So BORED!!

For the last 3 weeks we have been house bound because Shelby and I have been sick. Shelby had croup for a week and then she had some fancy name for swallon lungs so she has been doing breathing treatments. Anyways as we were sick, it gets pretty dull around here especially because we are usually gone all day except nap time (usually just doing random things). Shelby has become quite creative in her playing though. the other day Jon and I found her in the kitchen playing with the stool that Jon's dad had made me a while back. She was cracking herself up and was so proud that she had found something new to play with, it was pretty cute. Pretty lame with the most exciting thing that has happened in the last few weeks is her playing with a stool Huh?

Going for a Jog

This is Shelby all ready to go Jogging with dad. She really likes to go fast in her jogging stroller and giggles the whole time that you are putting her gloves, hat, coat, and blanket on. I guess she knows what is coming, or at least the fact that whenever we put her in weird contraptions she has a good time (i.e. backpack) We love this girl!!

Playing Kitchen

This is her face when we found her with the bowl of cream of wheat. (can you say guilty?)
Yummy!
Yes, she is licking the bowl!
Notice all the cream of wheat on her face and in her hair.
This is the best game EVER!

For Christmas Shelby got a bunch of kitchen stuff. Including the actual kitchen, fake food, pot and pans, pot holders, an apron, and other kitchen utensils. Needless to say she has LOVED it all, but it is quite funny because now she wants to "play kitchen" with EVERYTHING. If Jon and I ever leave a bowl and spoon out; guess who will be stirring our dinner in a matter of seconds. The other morning I fed Shelby cream of wheat and then had to leave the room for a second and Jon and I found her having a blast with the remains of her breakfast.

Photo Shoot!

So everyone is well aware of my desire to be a good Photographer and so my poor Shelby is always my main target when I practice so here are a few fun pics. Sorry Shelby, one day you will understand why I always have this big black camera in your face all the time. As you can see sometimes she wants me to stop chasing her and just let her play!

Happy New Year!

I am always so happy when we bring in a new year because it gives me a chance to reflect on the past year. We have been so blessed and it has probably been one of MY best years. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who was truly made to fit me perfectly. I couldn't be happier with our marriage, our family, and our future! Plus I have the cutest little girl I have ever seen! Shelby has brought me so much joy in my life. I never knew that I could enjoy something so much, but being a mom is the most rewarding and most fun thing that I have ever done. She and I crack up every single day. (I'm not kidding we really do belly laugh at least 2 times a day, she is hilarious and knows it). I also have GREAT friends. It is so nice to be so close to so many people and be able to just call them up and go to lunch or have a play date. Another great thing is that my family is so close that I can visit them all the time and have them be a part of our family. My only complaint for the year is that my best friend (besides my husband) moved all the to Flordia!!! I understand why, but it still doen't make me too happy, I miss you MOO!
In 2008 I have a lot of goals, as does most everyone at the new year. If I put them in writing then I seem to be more motivated. I seem to always do 10 because I really like that number and I hate odd numbers.

1. Get back in shape (isn't that everyones number 1 goal after the holidays?)
2. Eat Healthier
3. Keep a Journal of blessings, cute things Shelby does, and anything else that is noteable
4. Buy a House!
5. Read my scriptures once a day (even if it is only 1 verse)
6. Plan a fun FHE activity every week and a date night every other week
7. Wherever we move I want to get my real estate license again in that state
8. Learn about Photography enough that I can take professional looking pics for my family
9. Get all my Personal training certificates
10. Be more Thankful!

Dress up!

While we were unpacking Shelby decided to put on all of my clothes. I thought this was the cutest outfit for her, it made her look like a melted snowman. Don't mind the runny nose, she is getting a bunch of new teeth right now! I just love this little girl, it's pretty crazy.

The suspense is over!

Here is Shelby waving Hello to everyone after a long time away.

We're finally Back!!!! It seems like forever since we have slept in our own bed. We have been gone for a month doing family stuff, school stuff, and interview stuff. I am sure that everyone has been anxiouly awaiting a new post from us only to be dissappointed for quite some time (as if you didn't have something better to do!). Well we had a great time on our break but it is so nice to be home, even if I do have an upstairs neighbor that I would LOVE to strangle.

We were in St. George with my family for a week and then we went to Idaho Falls to visit with Jon's family. It was great to see everyone and especially to show Shelby off. She seems to be getting so big. We took her sledding in Idaho and she had a great time, I think her face actually froze in a smile! I am still working on getting the pictures of that. After Idaho we went back to St. George for Jon to take the last half of his boards! Yeah only 5 more months of dental school!!!!!! We still aren't sure where we are going to be in a couple months, but the fact that it will be somewhere that we will have an income is awesome news to me. We are stoked. We had a pretty uneventful New Year's. Matt & Haley came and spent the night at my parents so that we could party, but our party ended at about 10:45pm because we were all falling asleep. ( I know you are all so jealous of our wild night!!) Anyway just wanted you all to know that we are back!

Molly, this is it!

Okay Molly here is what I was talking about with the making your own bulbs. I decided to leave them out of the vase so that you could see them better, plus I am all out of vases since I have been giving them away as gifts. But in the end you put them in a large vase with one of the top ribbons tied on the outside (they are wired) and there you have a very cute and festive decoration for the holidays. You could also do it with Halloween ribbon or whatever colors you decide in order to match anything. NOW do you get it? Man, this would be so much easier if you still lived a couple blocks away! Love ya Sis.

Santa's Present.

Okay so I am way too excited to wait until Christmas, so I have posted Shelby's present on my blog to relieve some of the excitement. This is the cutest kitchen set that I have ever seen and Shelby is going to love it! Auntie Paige actually got this for her at Costco and as you can see I am pretty stoked. Thanks again Paige, I love it; and I know that Shelby will really love it too!!!

Mommy's Helper!

She was so tangled when I ran to get the camera, but she somehow escaped really quickly!

Those of you who know me, know that I am some what of a clean freak and I am starting to rub off on my daughter. One of her favorite things to do is to vacuum. She would do it everyday if I would let her, but the best time is once we have unplugged it and she "helps" me wind up the cord. Her she is being extremely helpful, I love my little clone!!!
