Carving Pumkin BOB

Shelby LOVES carving pumkins. We did this twice this year because she loved it so much. She would name the pumkin and then want to take out all of its "gooey slime". This is pumkin Bob. she would take out the inside and then put it back in Bob over and over again. Well the pictures speak volumes.

LOOK mom gooey slime! This is her trying to get EVERY last pumkin seed. This is Libby enjoying the festivities too. She is so tiny! Here is Bob.

All done!!!

Halloween

Our cow!

She was screaming while I was taking these pictures because it was time to eat!!!

Our Tooth Fairy! (Aunt Haley made the TuTu for her B-day)

"I Zap you, Mom"

Okay I have been slacking a ton, but I thought I would post these pics just so I have them for our family Journal. Shelby was the tooth fairy this year and Libby was the classic Cow (there is not much warm enough for a newborn). At first Shelby was fighting with Jon and I to get her costume on. She hated the wings, the "hat", and didn't want to keep her tooth on her shirt. So we thought alright we will just go to our 2 neighbors and if she doesn't like it then we will just come home. Well when she figured out that all she had to do was say "Trick-or-Treat" and people would give you CANDY, she was sold. Needless to say then she wanted her costume on so that people would give her more candy. I should have taken my camera because she was so much happier later than she was in the pictures. Libby was tons happier later too, but I got busy handing out candy. We had over 300 pieces and they were gone by the end of the night. CRAZY! People are way into Halloween around here I just love it! I know this holiday is over and done with, but thanks for humoring me.

Family Pictures

Well my really great friend Heidi and her family came and stayed with us over the Halloween weekend. I had so much fun staying up really late and girl talking all weekend. I miss having her around, but now we are only about 4 hours away so we will be seeing a lot more of each other. She is an amazing photographer and she is always so nice to take our pictures when we see each other. So we went out in our neighborhood and on the jogging trails we found a few great spots to take some pics. I love every single one so it was really hard to choose, so I just chose a few that I would share with everyone. Thanks Heidi for coming to see us, taking our pictures and being here for Libby's blessing it is always great hang out with you and your adorable family. We love you guys!

Introducing Elvis and Lucy Legs

Well the other night Jon and I went to a murder mystery party at some of our good friends house here in Boise. If you know Jon and I you know that we are not big into dressing up for Halloween, but we decided what the heck. We were assigned who we were supposed to be and so Barbara made us the entertainers of the hotel. Lucy legs and Elvis (not us at all) So Jon's mom made this amazing Elvis costume for Jon since how they don't make 6"7' costumes. She did it all in one day too, she truely is the best seamstress that I have ever met. It was so amazing!!! (thanks again Annette, it turned out great). We had forgotten to take pictures so this is after the party while Libby is screaming for me to feed her and Shelby is doing her sympathy cries with equal force. I will be getting a better pic of Jon so that I can send it to his Mom, but I had to post something because everyone keeps asking for a pic.

O'ya we are super hot!

Me not knowing how to stand....ummmm duhh

Look at his cape! and you can't see it in this pic but it has gold bell bottoms and a gold belt too. Once again my Mom-in-law is AMAZING!

Memories

This was on my friend Erica's blog and I thought it was super fun so I totally stole it from her. If you want to do it I would love to hear what you remember.

1. As you comment on my blog, leave one (or 2 or 3 or 10) memories that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.
2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave a memory about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you do not have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Have fun!!

Our Libby

This is Libby after a long day of toting around with mom. I always think it is so cute to see our little girls with their daddy. He doesn't stand a chance with all of us girls. We have him wrapped around our little fingers and we sure love him!

Shelby's 2nd Birthday

Well for Shelby's birthday we had a blast! Grandma and Grandpa Hammons came to town to celebrate with us. Shelby got a new bike(G&G Hammons), her hat and gloves, a puzzle(Neighbors), a few books, a awesome singing toy (G&G Scott), and a marble maze game. I am really bad at remember to take pictures during the moments so this is what I got. That night we went to PoJo's which is like a chucky cheese. She had a blast as you can see in the pictures.
Check out my new Hat!Grandpa Hammons helping (pushing) her along. She has the same problem as her mother; she can't keep her feet on the pedels. My dad had to duck tape my feet to the pedels before I finally got it.Just chillin on her new ride!Still loving her hat and telling us all about it.Daddy helping her ride the horse
Dumbo was kinda boring as you can tell on her face
Merry go round and around and around. This got very old for the adult with her, but shelby thought it was awesome.

I was there too.
She loved this motorcycle.
Our very first picture of all 4 of us. We didn't have a traditional begining with Libby so it has been hard to all be somewhere without someone in the hospital or feeling yucky. But here we are and we are happy!
Grandpa helping Shelby "Fly High"
Fred Flinstones ride.

Ice cream and candles, HUMMM I didn't think this through did I? O'well she loves Ice cream the most.Grandma was there too, she was just always so busy keeping the party running that she was behind each and every scene.

Well we had such a great day and it was extra special that my parents would drive all the way up here just to be there for our little angel. We are so blessed in so many ways. I get a little teary eyed anytime that I think about Shelby getting older, she is growing up so fast. It seems like this summer she went from a little baby to a toddler in a hurry. She is talking up a storm and is extremely helpful around the house and in the kitchen. I sure love being a mom and I am so lucky to have another little miracle in my life to get to raise. Happy Birthday Shelby, we sure love you!

Monkey Jammers

Shelby loves monkeys so we have now forced Libby to like them too. Here are the girls ready for bed in their monkey P.J.'s and a proud daddy too. I just thought this picture was cute because Shelby insists on giving Libby a hug and a kiss before they go to bed.

Daddy Daughter Day

"I hiking Daddy"
She liked to throw the big ones

Silly face
As we all know Jon LOVES to go hunting so a couple of weeks ago he decided to take Shelby on a daddy daughter date and go scouting for deer. He was going hunting soon and needed to spot out the big bucks. Shelby had a blast throwing the rocks and fetching them out of the water if she didn't throw it far enough. She mostly just loves being with her Daddy!

P.S. Needless to say, Jon didn't get much scouting done that day.

Our life at home

I saw on one of my friends blogs a post about the everyday going on in their life and I thought that would be a great way to capture my little girls precious moments in life. Shelby is going to be 2 years old on Sunday and it makes me want to just cry, she is getting so big! I am so lucky to get to stay home with my little angels and we have so much fun everyday and I just want to remember everything about it and never forget how much I love them. I am so grateful to still be alive and to be doing what I have always dreamed of doing; raising my 2 little miracles! Here are some pics of what we normally do. Libby sleeps so peacefully and Shelby is my entertainment every second that she is awake. I love you girls!

This is Libby sleeping on the chair in her Boppy, this is the one place that she is truly happy. Touchdown Libby!
Shelby and her chalk, it is always a fun laundry day!
This is Shelby throwing a 2 year old temper tantrum, I always just laugh so it never lasts to long. As you can see she can barely keep a straight face too.
This is Libby in her craddle with the blanket that Aunt Molly made especially for her. She loves it and always seems to sleep the best with this blanket.
Libby actually awake and it is not even past 9pm!! She loves her playgym.
Am I ready for this? Shelby is really excited about going to the "big girl" potty. We got her a pink princess potty that sings when she pees. She always is sitting on it saying "I poop, I pooped momma", but I have yet to see any poop in the potty.
She picked out these elmo panties and love to match her socks with them. I just thought she looked to stikin cute.

Merry Christmas to ME!

So I finally got my dream entertainment center and a 52' tv. I am so excited! Jon and I have had hand-me-down furniture our whole marriage. Which has been so nice and we still love it too, but it has been so fun to find furniture that I REALLY love. In our new house we have 20 foot ceilings in the living room so we needed a pretty large piece; well I found it. Molly wanted to see pictures so I thought I would share it with everyone. Needless to say Shelby is loving watching her dragon tails in style! Did I mention that I really love this piece of furniture?!!

Random Pictures

Shelby got new sidwalk chalk and she thinks that it is awesome, we play in the backyard EVERYDAY! She likes to do her own eye shadow with the blue (she's an 80's baby!)
Here is her action shot, she colors one spot then sprints to the next spot that she is going to color as if the sidewalk is going to walk away.
Libby being super cute and just waiting for mom to come back and change her bum.
This is one of the only pics that I have with me and Libby in it. She is all ready for sleep in her jungle jammies.

bootielicious Shelby in her swimming pool
This is the day that we finally got to bring Libby home from the hospital. It was only 15 days but it seemed like eternity being away from her. Doesn't she look stoked to be home! Really she is a very happy baby, but when the camera comes out so do the tears. (mother like daughter)
First Bath, not quite sure, it ended up being a scream fest so Jon just did it as fast as possible.
Libby trying out her swing, she doesn't weigh enough so even on the first setting it about throws her out of her seat it gets going so fast.
Shelby wanted me to take a picture of her "fast shoes" she got these while Grandma and Grandpa Hammons were here and she won't wear anything else. She always tells me "I fast in pretty pink shoes; they fast"

Anyway here are a few Pictures that we have taken in the last little while, I feel like I am always running around like a chicken with my head cut off so I haven't taken many pictures. Poor Libby, we have like a million pics of Shelby when she was little, but hardly any with her. I guess that is what happens when you are the second child....right?

All is well

It has been almost two weeks since I had my surgery and since Libby has gotten to come home. We are so blessed to both be alive and doing well, I know that it was the many prayers of family and friends and the many priesthood blessings that I was lucky enough to receive. We have seen many miracles this summer both big and small. My surgery went well, I was supposed to be an outpatient but there was some infection around the "mysterious ball" that was removed so I needed to stay one more night in the hospital. It was the size of a tennis ball and I sure am happy that it is gone because it was very painful. The doctors are still baffeled by it and can't figure out what, why, and how. The gallbladder is also gone and the pathology report came back to say that I had at least 60 more small stones in there that were "perfect size" to cause more damage. We figure I passed about 12 stones and I am really glad that I don't have 60 more to go! Doctors say that I should be feeling better in about 2 weeks or so and I am sure that my parents will be happy to finally get to go home. It has been wonderful and a huge help to have them with us this summer; I don't know how we would have made it without them.
As for Libby she got to come home the same day that I did from the hospital Aug. 27th. It sure has been nice to finally have our whole family home, as a mother it just never felt right to put my new little baby back inside her "incubator". I have had many feelings of guilt that I wasn't able to keep her in the womb longer, but she is now doing great and is our little miracle baby. One major blessing is that the NICU put her on a schedule so she eats every three hours and sleeps really well in between so the nights have been relatively easy. Nursing has been so much better this time around, Libby is a champ and gets right down to business. She loves to go for walks and she loves to have Shelby talk to her.
Shelby has adjusted extremely well! She is really glad to have mom home and she adores Libby. The other day when I was feeding Libby, Shelby came us and said "I sing" and then she started to sing Popcorn popping on the aprocot tree with hand motions and all. It was so precious and I am sure that I will have many more moments like that as the girls get older. She still loves to read, go to the park, go to nursery at church and she really loves our new house it is tough to get her to want to leave.
Jon has been working a ton and loving what he is doing. His new office is opening this Tuesday and we are really excited. It is so beautiful! I will take pics and post them. He also is really stoked because it is hunting season and he got his Birthday present early (I know I am a sucker). I got him a new pair of Binoculars since his got stolen in Vegas; he is like a fat kid in the candy shop with his new toy. I am so grateful for my husband and how he has been my rock through this whole experience. He lets me cry when I need to cry and makes me laugh to lighten our situation. I am so blessed to have him in my life and Love him to pieces. Thanks hun for being so strong and being the man that you are, your girls love ya!
I am sorry this post is so long, but I just thought I would update everyone. I will post pictures when I have a little more energy. I look forward to reading all of your blogs and catching up on what is going on with someone other than me! Thanks again for all your prayers and support, your flowers and gift baskets (which I loved!), and above all your Love!
