Still alive!

After many e-mails, comments on blogs, and phone calls I have decided that I would at least update everyone on how we are doing. I haven't had any time to take pictures so that will have to be for another time. We have now lived in Meridian, ID for 3 weeks and it has been great so far. I have been swamped with all the things that have to be done when you move into a new home. I am happy to report that we are all unpacked, pictures hung, garage organization system installed, Landscapers for the backyard (july 2), our fence will be in two weeks, we finally have blinds (I'm sure the neighbors are way bummed :o), we have a BBQ, Lawn mower, weed wacker, etc. I knew when you moved to a house of your own there was a lot to buy, but HOLY CRAP!!!!

Our new ward has been great so far, there are a few couples that Jon and I have really enjoyed. The RS president is amazing, and the Bishop is really a great guy. I have never been in a ward that was so friendly and noticed new people so quickly. We have felt very welcome and had Many drop by visits from a bunch of people. Apparently since our house was on the market for over a year, most of our ward has been in our house and we always hear "I just loved your house when we walked through, it is so pretty." (At least I don't have to do any tours right?!)

Jon started work last Monday and so far is just loving it. He has done tons of extractions and root canals, so of course he is a happy guy. He has said a few times that he is so excited about his career because he just really really enjoys it. The only bummer is that his office isn't quite ready so for now he is driving to Emmett (30 min North) to work at one of his partners offices. His office that is only 6 miles from our doorstep should be open on Aug. 15th now. With gas prices the way they are that will be nice when it happens.

Shelby is LOVING her new found freedom. The house is so big that sometimes she will just run around like a crazy woman screaming "mama, I fast, I fast!" She loves her new big girl bed and is really doing good at staying in it. I will take pictures of her room, my mom made her bedding, valance, pillows, and we found a little bench at a garage sale and just re-covered it. I think it is adorable anyway. Hopefully we will find her some good friends to play with like we had in Vegas. I am finding that it was very rare to have so many friends that had the same age kids without having 3 or 5 of them.

As for me, I am still VERY pregnant! Luckily I have finally found a Dr. to go to, I hadn't realized how many doctors won't take you as a patient if you are so far along. (what do they expect me to do?) I thought it would be a plus because I'm almost done and they still get paid without having to see me every month for like a year. I am really liking my house, it just makes me happy, plus there is NO MORE Marie upstairs! Thank the Heavens. I am still figuring out where things are and how to get places, but I think it is coming along.

Even with all of the fun we are having I have been a little surprised at how hard this move has been for me. This is the first time that I have moved and it isn't just for school, it is permanant. I knew I would be far from my family, but it never hit me like it has now, that this isn't just for a few years. It is also wierd to go from having TONS of friends (ward, park, high school, and dental school friends) to knowing NO one. Not even one person :( I never realized how lonely that could be especially now that Jon is back to work. It is wierd to go to the park, run errands, or even have lunch with just me and Shelby. I know it is stupid, but I have found myself crying at Wal-mart because I didn't know my way around and I couldn't call anyone to see if they knew where the whatever I was looking for would be. Hopefully that will change for Shelby and I soon.

My parents just made there second visit this last week and it was so nice to have the company for a few days to just help me get my mind back at ease. They helped with tons of projects that where just starting to get overwhelming for me and we explored the new area of Boise. I am stoked because we are only 1 hr. away from 3 awesome ski resorts and only 20 min away from 4 or 5 different lakes that we can boat on and go skiing. There are mountain bike trails everywhere and I found out that there is a 3 farmers markets every Saturday. I know that we are going to love it here I just need a little time to adjust and settle in. Hope all is well with all of you and I will post pics. later. Sorry this was so long!

It's finally over!

Joe, Keith, and Jon in the parking garage.
Devon, Jeanie, me, Jon, and Shelby (Devon was the valedictorian and one of the smartest guys I have ever met)
Waiting to clap for daddy as he walked across the stage!
Shelby looks a little drunk, but she is just wanting more cake!
One of my greatest friends ever, Erica (I sure am going to miss her tons!)
Darrin, Brooke, me, & Jon we hung out with them ALL the time and are really going to miss that.
My mom, Papa, me, Jon, Sleeping Shelby, Jon's Dad, and Mom

This last weekend was Jon's big graduations so now he offically Dr. Scott DMD! I am so proud of him and all of his hard work; I have to admit that I got a little teary eyed when he walked across the stage and it finally feels like it is over. It was fun to see a bunch of our friends at the graduations, but it was also a HUGE reminder of how much I am going to miss all of them. We didn't get Pictures with everyone because we were too busy talking, but it was a bitter sweet moment. Here are just a few pics of the graduations. A big thanks to my parents and Jon's parents for being so supportive and sitting through a total of 6 hours of graduation! I was so happy for the help with Shelby and she was in heaven with 4 grandparents!

Another Chapter to Write

As most of you know Jon has finished Dental School!!! This is his last day of school, after I took the pic. he said "this can't go on the blog" and my response was "yes Huh". I am so proud of my husband it has been such a long road to get where he is and he has taken every challenge with great strength and stride. We just got his board scores back and he ROCKED the test, I never had any doubts, but it is a relief to know that we are DONE. I am so excited for Jon and what he has accomplished I know it hasn't been easy and there were certainly a ton of hoops that he has had to jump through, but it is so worth it.
Yesterday we also celebrated our 6th anniversary of Marriage and I am so happy to be married to the man of my dreams! He is always so thoughtful and caring of me even when he is swamped with what he has to do. He is the most amazing man that I have ever met and is a wonderful father too. I cherish every minute that I get to be with him and I am really looking forward to getting to be with my best friend for 1 1/2 months before he has to start working. This last week has felt like one big long date, which is much needed after 6 years of hard core schooling. Being around him makes me want to be a better person and I am so thankful to have him in my life. Thanks for being the Man that you are honey, I sure love you and I am extremely proud of you!! I look forward to many more years to come and all the new chapters in life that we get to write together. I love you!

This is Shelby pole dancing

Now that Jon and I have lived here in Vegas for 4 years we finally have ventured down to the Mirage to see the dolphins and the Lions. We went with some of our Dental School buddies (Brooke & Darrin) since we all have nothing to do for an entire month. It was fun to get out, but since they don't really do tricks with the dolphins Shelby didn't really get to into it. She did have fun running around in the underwater viewing area, but looking at dolphins was not top on your priority list of things to do. All in all it was fun to see another crazy attraction that this town has to offer.

Gunlock Resivoir

Dad, Shelby, Cru, and Matt throwing rocks into the lake

Grandpa made her this walking stick, which she totally thought was the coolest thing every!

This last weekend we went up to St. George to hang out with family and get out of Vegas. It was so much fun! We went with my parents and my brother's family to Gunlock Resivoir. The kids had so much fun hiking around with the walking sticks that Grandpa had made for them and throwing Tons of rocks into the lake. I swear the water level went up with how many rocks we threw in there, we had to cokes Cru and Shelby to leave they were having so much fun. It was also a caterpeller heaven there were sooo many that it was kinda nasty, but the kids LOVED holding them and eventually throwing them too. I don't have a pic. but my new little niece Macey who is only 3 weeks old was there too. She pretty much slept the whole time, but I'm sure she had a blast too.

Swinging with Grandpa and Grandma (sorry I got you scratching your nose pops)

Miss Sarah helping Shelby climb

Just showing off for Grandma

Climbing up the slide and then going down

Inside one of her favorite toys, she likes to be rolled around the room in this thing, it is pretty funny to watch and hear her giggle!

Last week my parents decided to come down to go to one of Shelby's gym classes. It was so much fun even though Shelby was more interested in showing them all of her "tricks" instead of participating in all the activities. I think Grandma and Grandpa had a good time and I know we had an awesome time having them come visit us. Thanks for coming all the way down her to go to her 1 hr. class. It is so fun to share our fun times with those that love us.

This is how I found Shelby after her nap!

Shelby was supposed to be sleeping the other day and all of a sudden she started screaming like she was in pain so I ran in there to check on her and this is what I found. She was just mad that she couldn't get it all the way off and that is why she was crying. I couldn't stop laughing and so she had to stay that way for a little while until I could gain my composure. Jon happened to be home too which made it even more funny. As you can see Shelby eventually after her photo opp thought she was funny too. I love this girl! She is always making me laugh until I reach tears.

Silly girl

The other night Shelby was helping me cook dinner and then she decided instead of cooking she was going to dance, sing, and run around with her cooking tools. Some of the pics are kinda out of focus because she was running all around the house. This is her silly face that she will do anytime that you ask her too, it is pretty funny and cute... right?

show us your silly face Shelby

She kept on saying "my hat, my hat"

Baby News

Many of you already know, but I thought I would post about it anyway. Jon and I found out that we are going to be having another girl and we are so excited!!! This little girl is very active and in the ultra sound she looked like she was swimming, so she will fit right in! We will keep you posted when we figure out a name for her.

Clark County Fair

We went to the fair a couple of weekends ago, but I am just getting around to blogging about it. It seems like our house hold has been so busy lately that my blogging has gotten very behind. Anyway, my family has been going to the fair for years and it is one of my most Favorite things to do. I love the food, entertainment, animals, rides, and the people watching of course. The county fair always brings out the crazy people and I just LOVE observing everyone (wierd I know) My family was there this year and our friends Kelly and Gary came out with their boys too. It was a blast. Shelby couldn't get enough of the rides, she LOVED them so much. Her cousins Kallie, Koda, Treyson, and Kaden rode them with her, it was so cute to watch Kallie "babysit" Shelby. She was so precious! Plus they have a barn full of animals and if it wasn't so stinky in there we could have watched her pet them forever. The other part that she just loved was the "kid area" it has a bunch of stations for 3yrs and under to play at, of course the sand box got most of her attention, but all the others were fun too. Shelby also got to ride a pony which we are still not sure if she liked it or just put up with it because her parents were so excited for her????? Then later in the day she got up on the stage to perform and dance with the girls. It was cute to watch her dance, but she got a little distracted and started wandering the stage so we had to get her off. Anyway here are some pics from our weekend

Sand box fun!

Yesterday we went over to my friend Kelly's house because her husband built a sand box for their twin boys (Boston & Preston). Shelby always loves to go over there and play with the boys they are only 1 day apart and have been hanging out since they were like a week old. These three had so much fun digging and dumping sand. It was really cute to watch, plus Kelly and I get to talk the whole time which I LOVE! We had a little BBQ with some hot dogs, the kids kind of ate, but mostly played. Anyway we had a great time and hope to do it another before we move.
Boston, Shelby, and Preston just chillin in the sand box
It takes a lot of high pitched squeals to get all three to look at the same time.
them again.

The wind blew over this vinyl fence that they have to cover the sand box at night so the kids thought it looked like the perfect dance floor and all started jumping around with their "happy feet" too cute!

Happy Easter

Giving super Grover and Erinie kisses.
Sweet Shades Shelby. She is currently obsessed with wearing sunglasses EVERYWHERE!
Aunt Molly and Shelby just chillin
The start of the Easter Egg hunt.
Shelby would sometimes just point to the eggs and then want me to give it to her. Bending over is a little difficult sometimes I guess.
Cru was super focused on what he was doing, getting as many eggs as fast as possible.
Aunt Molly and Treyson during the egg hunt
Treyson found the Golden egg. It had $1 and a whistle and a car in it. Haley is due anyday, but still looks cute as usual.

For Easter this year Aunt Molly flew all the way from Flordia to come to our egg hunt so it was pretty fun. We went up to St. George and had a fun Easter with all the cousins. The hunt was a pretty good hit. Shelby really loved finding the eggs, but didn't quite understand that the round rocks in Grandma's yard weren't eggs too. By the end of the hunt the basket was too heavy so Shelby made me carry it for her as she continued her search. Here are a couple of pics of our super fun weekend. O'ya and Shelby and I had a matching dress and Maternity shirt, I thought it was cute.

Our First Home!

Well many of you know that we got back a couple of weeks ago from Boise, ID where we went house hunting. We found a home that will be perfect for us and so I just wanted to share my excitment with all of you. I wasn't sure that this was THE house so I didn't get pics of every room, but you all get the point I am sure. This is a 6 bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom, + a bonus (play room) and a 3 car garage. It is so pretty inside and way more square feet than I ever could have imagined 3700!!! I know that I will have a few empty rooms for a few years, but hey I am okay with having too much space as opposed to having too little. The Best thing about the whole deal is that I will no longer have Marie living above me stopping around and waking Shelby up from her naps. I couldn't be happier about that one!! Anyway I am so excited that I had to post about it. Boise, here we come!!!!

Burton's B-Day

Peek-a-boo!
Going down the slide
playing in the jump house with Katelyn

One of Shelby's good friends had his 3rd b-day this week. It was so much fun because it was at "pump it up" which is a huge place with tons of Jump houses, mazes, slides and toys. Shelby couldn't get enough of it she was having so much fun, by the end of the night I was beat from playing like a kid all night. Anyway here are some pics of our fun night.
